Sea Bream

International Taste Institute

Superior Taste Award


The Superior Taste Award is a certification granted by the International Taste Institute in Brussels to food and drink products that undergo a rigorous blind tasting process by a panel of industry experts. This panel is comprised of world-class chefs and sommeliers, many with recognitions or achievements from chef competitions or acclaimed institutions such as Le Guide Michelin and Gault & Millau.

Each product under consideration is evaluated according to the 5 International Hedonic Sensory Analysis criteria: first impression, vision, olfaction, taste, and texture. Products granted the Superior Taste Award must earn an average score above 70%. 

Since 2005, thousands of products have been evaluated by the International Taste Institute, but only the most excellent ones meet the jury’s criteria to receive an award.
